k&n intake vs. injen intake

just looking to see what the preference is for either of these intakes and why.

i have the injen cai but with all the hype over the k&n intake am wondering if the k&n would make more power.

can anyone effectively explain why one of these is better than the other, or could even just post up some dyno numbers to compare.

i've seen numbers for the k&n, which was about +12 whp and +14 wtq to a stock ss/tc, btu i cannot find anything for the injen cai and am dying to know if the injen cai is possibly hurting my power compared to the k&n intake.

(i have already searched and have found little to nothing on this so thats why i am posting)

thanks!

it's not about power with the LNF intakes, its more about the fuel trims.

A lot of people love the K&N

Very quality piece

SR = low end power

CAI = high end power

Taken from the intake sticky if you care to read it.

"Injen's intake I have not tested personally but Tofu, a member on here did some data logging and dyno testing of injen's intake. From his logs the LTFT was -6.2 to -7 when it settled and the STFTs varied from -12 to +5. He said the driveability was decent but it felt sliggish sometimes in the midrange. Dyno testing showed a 10-15 whp gain up top but significant losses of 15-20 wtrq in the midrange even when the MAF was tuned for the intake. Quality seems to be good and no one has reported any unusual issues with surging with Injen's intake. "

Get the K&N.
