K&N SRI worthwhile on e47 setup?
K&N SRI worthwhile on e47 setup?
Right now my car is hptuned on e47 and I also have a gutted second cat. Stock everything else. Now I've read a lot of mixed information which I'm sure is mostly he say/she say and regurgitated information, but I'm wondering if anyone has personally had or seen a car with a setup similar to that of mine go from a stock intake to one of the aftermarket intakes and pick up a considerable amount of power, and how much power was gained.?
Yes you will pick up some power. A lot of people don't like oiled filters.
Somewhere in the 10whp gain. Maybe a touch more.
If you want to go the very well accepted setup:
You get the ZZP intake tube ZZPerformance - LNF Cobalt Upgraded Intake Tube #ZZ-LNFUPITT and do the factory airbox mod. Factory Airbox Mod - Cobalt SS Network
That will net you close to the same results and you will look stock.
Really the only added benefit of the K&N is the sound. It makes the stock BPV sound off like crazy. I love it, but sometimes hesitant and the amount of particles that get through the K&N filter.
