yeah i mean props to you for having a car that can do that. i dont doubt you one bit. but actually doing it is very very dangerous. again im not mad. i speed and race myself. i dont actually race or speed with ppl in my car exept for 2 of my closest friends who want me to and have driven it that fast themselves.

see,i speed bout once or twice a week,i just done get the urgue to pound on the car, especially when i know what its capable off,and look at it from my point of view...my car is faster than 95% of the cars on the street,so why risk my lisence and life to spank a civic

When i was younger i had my Z28 (1995) shut off at 155mph on a deserted highway at 1 in the morning. I did it once to see where it would shut off and that was it . My thinking is if i am the only one that can possibly get hurt then fine . I would never do it with anyone else in the car , or any other cars in sight.

For the time, that old LT1 Z was a fun car to have as a 20 year old . It wasn't the fastest thing in the world (13.58 @106 best) but for the 1990's it was decent.

Yeah , it's apples to oranges thou. My SS feels like it pulls harder after 330ft than my Z28 did , but it was a piece of cake to launch that car (1.9 60's) compared to the Cobalt. I had well over 200 passes with the camaro W/O one part breaking , i havent even taken my SS to the track yet lol.

I gotta get back into it again . I'm just afraid once i do i will be there every friday night ...... breaking **** hehe.

I love going to the track, it's a passion. I don't care if I break something or not. I'll just make another funny thread like I did last time when my roll pin broke and my buddy in his turbo civic pulled me 3hrs back home. Lol. If something breaks, I'll fix it.

I killed a Geo Metro the other day

Just kidding, but I want a turbo charged car that can go 165+
130 is fun, but 165 sounds like more fun

I've gone 165+ in a NA car, however it was a Heads/Cam LS1 Camaro and before my 4.11 gears. You don't need a turbo to do it.

Seems like this is a website full of flamers if tREBs is correct. Cause I'm sure everyone here, at one point in time or another, has street raced. Whether you want to admit it or not.

why couldn't he have been stage 2?? my buddy has a stage 2 srt4 with a couple other mods and i beat him i mean i didn't smoke him but i still pulled on him time and time again. Seems like no matter what if there isn't a video to prove it then i mysteriously didn't happen....give the guy his props, don't bust his ***** for street racing, and move on with your day

a stage 2 srt4 usually dyno's close to 300 whp (if im not mistaken) an ss/tc dyno's 240whp, and the srt is still lighter... in my head it dosent make any sense. he would have had to REALLY suck at driving... considering a roll race...

and dont bust his ***** about street racing? **** that... people like him are the reason my car gets profiled by police therefore me getting pulled over, not to mention the "racers putting everyone on the road in jeapordy... and you say dont bust his *****? give your head a shake

take it to the track... not a hard concept
