Lil question for 2.2L

Does the 2.0L LNF motor peices are swapable into the 2.2L LAP ?

Cause i think the peices supports 15 psi or more in the LNF so I was wondering if I put a turbo on my LAP 2.2L will it fit and be ok if I put it at 15 psi.

It's been done once. But there were tons of problems with it. I think he just ended up selling everything and going back to stock. It was fairly cheap though, cheaper than a normal turbo swap, and you won't make 15psi due to having a higher compression motor.

I think the rods fit put not the pistons. Please refer to the GM tech book. It tells you how to properly build a 2.2 Its a great read. I read through it 3 times now and I own an LNF. I have thought about building a 2.4L stroker using LE5 parts.

BTW I think gmtunersource has them for download for free.

EDIT: It does GMTunerSource.com - ECOtec Build Book - Sport Compact Build Book

is there an aftermarket forged LE5 crank? I imagine the stock one could have issues at high hp

There is but I believe its around 3k dollars. That said The GM build book shows that in order to rev high you really only need valve springs. And it also says the stock crank on the LE5 is good to around 800HP.

Check the LE5 section for more info. Its the same crank though ZZP is using in their strocker motor I think.
