Limp mode on start up.
Hey ya'll. I haven't been on here in quite some time. I've been busy rebuilding a 91 dodge stealth RT/TT with all the goodies .
Anyway, on to my problem. I've noticed that sometimes when I start my car and drive it feels real sluggish and when I let out of the throttle the BPV sounds its opening and closing real fast. Almost like it is stuttering. It never says "Engine Power Reduced" and I never get a CEL. Just a slow shitty sounding car.
I have an aeroforce interceptor installed and if I select clear DTC the car starts acting perfectly normal. I don't really understand what might be causing this problem. Its kind of annoying and worrying.
Anyone else run into this? Know the fix? Mods are in the signature.
EDIT: I have just hit 70000 miles and the intake valves have never been cleaned. Think that might have something to do with it?

Could be a number of things. I found my aerofoce interceptor doesn't always read a CEL code.
1) Coked up valves
2) If you just got tuned, you have the wrong tune for your map sensors
3) Your map sensors could be going out
4) Your map sensors might need to be re-sodered (the connection)
5) You might have oil in your intercooler and your sensor is getting wet with oil (Happened to me)
Good luck!

Well thanks for all the ideas. When the suspension on the stealth is put back together and the interior is reapplied I might have to try to clean the valves.
Until then I'll just check the MAP sensors and look for oil in the bottom of the intercooler.
I've had the tune since last summer
Mostly seems to happen in the heat which is weird.
