LNF Basics for making more power
91k miles on my 10' stock clutch no issue's. The lsj TOB are the failures I think you heard about
A little over 175,000km stock TOB on my LNF. The guy who went through 3 TOB's on his LNF in a year was due to human install error. A downpipe with stock exhaust should take a competent person well under an hour.
Well then thats a huge relief. Im always so paranoid of overextending it. A month ago I had a bit of a problem with feeling the clutch pedal getting inconsistent and softer at times. "BlueLNF" was quick to comment that my TOB went. I checked it with my family mechanic and he said I was just being paranoid about it and everything was normal when he took it out with me for a test drive. Ive seen his other posts and he's always given OP the least optimistic fix on the problem lol
Anyways, I want to make sure my car is reliable before i go into modding it. What should the IAT read on the RPD for normal temps?

Don't forget a forged bypass valve. I put one on my car and boosting is so much better. Doesn't leak boost like the stock one and spools up faster. Green spring for anyone running GMS1. You'll notice a difference when boosting/racing. But if you're running more boost the yellow one. The yellow spring will hold in a damaging amount for the engine for those slightly modded as I am. I feel like it's an overlooked mod but it's been my favorite so far.

And no on the downpipe, you would have to cut your catback if you wanted a different catback. The order of components is engine head, header, downpipe (with or without catalytic converter) and cwtback which includes the resonator and muffler,

Hey Rice, quick question regarding the 3bar map sensor.. i know stock are 2bars (30PSI)
if youre getting a tune to 24PSI the stock gauge is still within the range, why upgrade this?

Stock are 2.5bar. The 24psi you see on the gauge is from the lower accuracy bar sensor, which the LNF has 2. When you actually look at a hptuners log you see two different bar sensors, one stops at 255kpa (2.5bar) and the other can continue but it is not that accurate. After ~22psi (depending on altitude) the ECU is making assumptions and relying on other tables than sensors.
2 bar sensors only read 29psi absolute which is roughly 14.3-14.7psig above atmospheric pressure. They are not accurate at higher boost. Again this is all relevant to atmospheric pressure so it will vary.

gotcha, thanks

Is still trifecta a valuable option just added zzp downpipe 200catted, k&n typhoon intake and will add the 3map sensor already get the red trifecta cable but as i reed recent post most people have changed their mind and are more going with hpt why so? can i just go with trifecta and send few pull to fine tune it or i still need a dyno tune?
Hpt more reliable or???
Hpt more reliable or???
you can pick your tuner with hptuners, so you don't have (not joking)2week response times like trifecta and most tuners will charge a flat fee and retune for free, trifecta charges around $150 for every retune
Depends on the dealer. I was never charged for small stuff like an intake calibration, but going from 93 to e47 tune cost me only $100
