LNF fuel efficiency with higher compression ratio

I am currently writing a paper on GDI which enlightened me to more of the technical workings of direct injection. Because of the in cylinder cooling effect cause by latent heat of vaporization, we can get more charge air in and have a higher compression ratio.

So my question is with leaner mixture can we use higher compression pistons to increase fuel economy and add a lil more power? I mean if its possible i know a precise tune would play a huge role is this.

I am no mechanical engineer but i would like a intellectual answer/convo on this if possible. Not worried about feasiblity just curious.

What you're inquiring about was already considered when the motor was built. Some tolerances must be kept in order to keep the motor from being too fragile.

Ans by making the mixture leaner you would be leaving shoich AFR and also taking away some of the cooling effect.

Oh ok ..I thought making it leaner would increase the cooling effect
