LNF Turbo Restrictor Installation and Proper Wastegate Adjustment

I have Wester's Garage Tune (which I LOVE!!!) and while looking at their site to day I noticed this:

http://westersgarage.eidnet.org/LNF_...Restrictor.pdf

Has any one here done this mod? Is this a mod I should do? If so where can I find the restrictor it mentions?

Thanks for any help yall got!!

Totally unnecessary with stock turbo and a proper tune.

That's the old school pill mod method. With all of the new tables from HP, this is no longer needed or advised. It will make the car very touch with part throttle boosting and again, not needed to get more boost anymore!

What does this mod make the turbo run at? Im GMS1, so its interesting to me.

I havent gotten around the warranty voiding tunes yet =( Mostly because GMS1 cost me $1100 and I cant justify paying someone $650 to HP tune my car after that.

i did it on my 22psi setup a while back before we had access to all the boost tables and it would spike 28-29psi and hold about 27psi till 5000 where it would taper back down. Your turbo cant make anymore pressure after 5000 rpms anyways. You also need to log the car when doing this. You may knock running that high of a spike. Plus you will most likely throw a overboost code if your only on gmstg1 tune.

Its pointless now. With a tune you can set your boost to a steady higher pressure that will make much more consistant power than this mod will.

if somebody charges you $650 for an hptune, go tell them to smoke some pole. a street tune shouldn't be more than $300

Yeah, its why I went GMS1 instead of the HP tune, warranty seemed like a good idea to spend an extra $400 or so.

*shrugs*

Id be hptuned if I could nab someone good to do it for $300
