Well I understand that and all........but where the fresh air feeds to under the hood......you can clearly tell the hood was designed for, and will benefit, a 2.2/2.4 the most. But I mean thats not to say that an SS/TC won't benefit from it as well......just not as much so to speak.

WAIT!! I see an adaptor!! Holy ****!! It snaps in place of the stock TC air box cover and with a zig here and a zag there it mates up with the piece on the 2.2 that this hood is supposed to fit. PRESTO you got your functioning hood scoop. Who's good with fiberglass?
Seriously. Does anybody know who made that hood?
Never mind. I found them.

It looks like this company manufactures some of the OEM hoods for Chevrolet under license.
I immediately wondered about water ingestion, but they thought of that already, so that's good. Very interesting test GM did with water (in their FAQ) on these hoods to make sure it would be okay. It also looks like you don't even have to have these completely sealed or anything to reap some benefit.
Interesting indeed...

Hey, there's a guy on CSS.net that already has one of these hoods on his '08 Sport.
Check it out: www.cobaltss.net/forums/showthread.php?p=3283899
We should ask him what he did...

And I just bought a new computer. I just sent Suncoast a message asking about fitment on a TC. They mention the hood will fit the TC but I'm not sure about the hood to airbox connection. They also mention an "interface" and a K&N CAI for $249. Got to start saving again.
