what brand is the best lowering springs

 

i got some k sports on mine they are great and lowered the car pretty good as u can see on my pic not tuckin but no more gap from the oem suspension. do not get sportlines tho i say k sports or eibachs or tein

 

Ummm... sportlines ARE Eibach. I'm guessing you were saying ket the pro kit though. I have SSC springs and I love them. They drop about the same as sportlines and keep the same handling as stock. From what I hear, sportlines are kinda soft and bouncy, which would annoy me. H&Rs are also good, Pedders give the best handling though, and a decent drop

was looking at the Eibach sportline 1.0 in front 1.3 in rear was just wondering if anyone else had them and how they were working out

 

definately the wrong section but i'll help ya out.....

the best things you can do for cheap lowering but you wont gain any handeling out of it, is get h&r springs or eibach.

if you want to still stay on the cheaper side of things but gain some handeling and not gain all that much of a drop go with pedders springs on our stock struts. its a pretty unbeatable combination until you start to spend cash.

if you really want to spend money go with coilovers.......stance or some of the higher end brands like peneske or ohlins(rediculously expensive and wont bother with you unless your on a race team).....stance seems to be the best bet for the money as far as the cheaper coilovers go though.

regardless of what kind of lowering you do i recommend rack spacers so you dont get bump steer.

 

IMO:

-Pedders very small drop, but good spring rates. If you are looking at handling only, and not lowering this is a good choice
-Eibach sportlines lower very nicely, but spring rates are not as firm.
-Eibach Pro kit lowers less than the sportlines, but offers a higher spring rate compared to the sportlines.

KW Suspensions have a very nice set of coil overs, the varient 2 series are a good choice.

what was the drop on ur springs

 

teins... performance springs with a 1.4 drop. it all depends what your looking for... lowest drop, best handleing etc

 

tien brings bind just like all the rest except pedders

 

Why do you say that?

 

take a look at any of the pictures of the h&r springs, eibach, tien,zenn etc and they all have coil bind.

look at this link twords the bottom of the page at the tenzos. almost all springs i have found except the pedders are binding like this but the pedders dont provide a good drop in my opinion. they do provide the best handeling on stock struts by far though.

 

If your smart you will pick the H&R not only s the price right but the drop is perfect as well check out my pictures

 

i wouldnt call the h&r springs the best choice......your right the drop is just right as i have them aswell and the drop is awesome.....but the can definately doesnt not handle any better. i also recommend rack spacers strongly if you go with h and r springs.

 

Well what do you expect when you just buy springs the only thing ive noticed was less body roll and a awsome flat look with the front tires slightly tucked and a finger gap in the back. $300 ant bad to have the look till you get the money for the performance, " coil overs, poly bushings, sway bars.....see what im getting at? Go with H&R they are from germany and come with a life time warranty

been rockin Eibach Sportlines for 3 years now and love them!

 

Pedders Springs are the best a far as handling is concerned.

 

theres no questions asked on the 09s whats going to make it handle better. the turbocharged models handle way better the any of the supercharged models. going to any springs with the exception of pedders is a down grade. just look at the reviews and see for yourself.

 

X2. Pedders springs or nothing. All other springs with the possible exception of the Eibach Pro kit exhibit coil bind with the car just sitting on the ground forget about how many coils bind when you hit a bump. If you want looks only H&Rs give a nice drop but are bad or the car IMHO.

 

yeah i will personally say from having h&r springs on my car....ride sucks....pedders werent out before i bought my springs. i run a lot of info through john powell so we are working on a coilover setup for me because iwant the drop

 

The difference between sportlines drop and the pedders drop is .25 inch in the rear.

 

what about the kw coilovers does anybody have them or tried them?i got my sportlines on the way
