LSD question

LSD question

ok so i know in a lot of 240sx cars they weld they diff. so they spin both tires...thats what they call a cheap LSD... my question is would this work for our car or just because its FWD it wont work?

i don't think i'd do that. you might get wheel bind while turning. the lsd allows the tires to still turn at different speeds, but transfers power to the wheel with the most traction.

theirs is rwd they can just do that to the rear diff, ours is fwd and the axels come right out of the transmission so no i dont think it would work.

have fun steering if you do. Strictly Drag Maybe LOL

Even they will have trouble crazy wheel hop throught corners unless you drift every one.. front wheel drive that meens not turning....

cheapest is probably finding a salvage or used f35 trans w/ lsd in it.

First of all if you weld your dif together it's not called a LSD it's called a locker (a cheap one at that) and second of all no this would not work on our FWD cars

Just stick witht he stock LSD and get some wider stickier tires, if you still can't hook up run a drag radial or a slick.

No, no, a thousand times no!!!! It will not work properly if you try to do that to a fwd car. It will not steer properly. You can get away with welding up the spider gears on a rwd car because the rear wheels do not have to steer the car. The inside rear tire will always slip a little though as the outside rear tire rotates faster than the inside rear tire when you turn. Differentials are there for a reason.
