MAP Sensor

I've been making logs to diagnose a MAF code. Which I found, pin A was broken inside the insulation (so reading the wire had 5v, but it never made it to the MAF) which is all good and well.

However my car is still starting shitty. Sometimes a long crank, sometimes it tries to stall. Smells rich on startup, but then evens out.

I noticed that my MAP reading was a little off. 3% off, which doesn't sound like much (even to me) but that is out of manufacturer spec. I kind of doubt it's the cause of poor start issues, but I also noticed my intake manifold pressure was just about exceeding 2.5 bar. In fact I'm pretty sure it does exceed it under peak boost and I just didn't catch it between polls.

Would I be better off just throwing some 3 bar MAP sensors in there? As in, is there no actual downside to this?

I have for power

- Trifecta tune
- Injen hard pipes
- MPX intercooler
- MPX catless full exhaust
- Currently stock CAI as I was having fitment issues with Hahn, but this is likely to change to some sort of CAI due to surprising drop in power (I figured there would be none)

Changing between stock and aftermarket CAI didn't change the shitty startup issue.

Rich on startup usually means you have a vac/boost leak.
