Ok so update. U guys seen and heard my video and the noise it made. Both my personal mechanic and a gm tech said it was fine. It passed 2 compression tests. It has sat for 2 weeks I had it towed and got my answer today. Idk I know what I heard and im actually afraid of that happening again. Any suggestions?

 

so it was normal like I originally said My car makes loud tapping sound too but I dont have a CEL or any smokes coming from the exhaust so I say its normal. The tapping gets much louder with time. And its loud at cold starts.

The sound is the hpfp, the fuel pump on the engine.

 

No I still dont believe its normal. Imo I think its my timing chain tensioner. So im gonna change all that stuff. But at least my valves are ok

Definitely not the sound of a hpfp. I had a walbro on my 2g eclipse that wasnt even that loud. Maybe my video didnt show how loud it really taps.

And as of now my car isnt making the noise so I think it has to do with the timing
