MPx Pulley

I've read about the MPx pulley for the LNF, for which they claim to gain about 4hp on the dyno. What do you guys think? Is it worth it to get it? Also (if I'm not mistaken) MRZPerformance sells both pulleys (upper and lower). Would it be a good investment? I'm not an expert as far as those, that's why I'm asking you guys. What do you think? Is it worth it to buy it? Thank you for your input.

There's a review on it, but to answer your question I personally don't see a point of getting it.

Yep I read that review, but I really didn't understand well enough the pros and the cons

To me it seems like it has better throttle response, better MPG, slightly increased WHP, and It's safe immediately.

Cons, hard install, possible longevity issues (not known) and expensive for 4 horses... I think.

I guess I'm not entirely to sure either.

The install should be pretty straight forward. That is if you have the proper tools (pulley puller)

The gains are small, but then again, so is the price. I plan on getting one just to take advantage of the quicker throttle response.

Thank you, I think I will buy it too. MRZ has both upper and lower pulleys, maybe I will buy them from MRZ Perf.

No damping on this pulley = eat up the timing gears. There will be tears...

Not worth it. Buy a properly damped one like ATI or stay stock.

Doesnt absorb shocks or vibrations, like when a a/c clutch engages

While this article is for a BMW engine, the basic principals about using an undamped pulley still apply.

IIRC the LNF and other ectoecs are internaly dampened and ballenced. I see no dampner on the oem pully.

I looked at a breakdown of that pulley and I didn't see one either. Anyone else know if there is rubber on that pulley anywhere? And if you chime in POST A PIC!!!
