yeah that's what i said no one will see it so screw it. Plus it works better than the hanger. loud as hell but funny in a way because i can barley hear the blower until 6,000 rpms

If the exhaust pipe is 2.5 Then your coupler should have been 2 5/8 at the first end, and then go back to 2.5 ALL the way down. Then your tip should have been 2 5/8 at the connecting end, and however big you want it, at the exit. It's not a monumental FAIL, just a slight oversight. Trust me I know this because I had no choice but to do the exact thing to my gf's honda when her resonator fell off. Now when she revs the engine you can hear a very faint psssst noise, almost like a tiny turbo spooling up, because the air is hitting that exhaust piece before it continues to flow. Autozone never keep their shelves stocked around here.

haha ok yeah i know exactly what your talking about now I hear that same noise. Well my actual exhaust is 2.25 so i got a 2.25 to 2.5 adapter. so your saying i should have got 2.5 to 2.5? or try to find a 2.25 to 2 5/8 adapter and turn the pipe around?

And BTW guys and gals, if this is done right, it makes more sense than a muffler shop simply because if your exhaust is TOOOO loud for some police standards, you can easily connect your muffler back and not have to worry about paying for the shop to do it. I will probably do exhaust shop myself because I like it clean, but I considered this as well at one time. Its kind of like a "shadetree" mechanic muffler mod, like HAHN has for the MODPIPE downpipe.
