mufflers!

Been driving the daily driver for a few months now, haven't touched my baby.

Started her up today, drove her around. She's too loud, catless dp and muffler delete. Need a new muffler. What is the best buy and sounds good. I want something that is affordable. Ideas?

Thanks.

Yes it will be fine just make sure you get a 2.5 inch inlet/outlet.

Terrible idea... You do NOT want to put a chambered muffler on a turbo charged car. You're just asking for problems by inducing back pressure. The Magnaflow muffler you're talking about is a straight through muffler, the super turbo is not.

OP,
This muffler (16" dynomax bullet) will take the edge off the exhaust but still flow extremely well and have a nice tone:

Make sure you paint the bullet before you get it put on because they rust pretty fast, I had two on my old truck and they sounded ok but at shift it was like a shotgun going off, then again it was a v8. I am personally going to go with the Megan racing oe-turbo muffler.

This sounds like a good idea.

However, I thought we have a 3" exhaust on our cars and need a 3" in, 3" out, or am i mistaken?

The dynomax muffler is not chambered so i'm not sure where your getting your info from. Also those mufflers are used for many v8 applications that are putting out anywhere from 300 to 400 hp so i'm sure it would be able to handle a 4cyl ecotec engine no problem.

Yes, the super turbo muffler is in fact a chambered muffler... Also, you're talking about a V8, not a forced induction I4... Not only is it apples to oranges but turbo cars do NOT like back pressure. Even them big V8s, when utilizing forced induction, pick up quite a bit of power by reducing any and all back pressure. Hell, even NA V8s love very little if any back pressure.

See those chambers? Yeah... Count them, there's 4 of them.

I'm not sure honestly. Always hearing conflicting stories of whether its 2.5 or 3". Try a quick search bud

dp is 3" for the most part. then the cat back starts off 3" then after the resonator goes to 2.5". i have both the stock DP and Catback off the car so i could measure them
