My Build: Project EFR
Update: Finally got everything here. Tomorrow I will be installing clutch and transmission mounts. I'm gonna give it maybe 2-3 weeks for me to break the clutch in thoroughly. Then install the turbo kit, sensors, spark plugs after I come back from vacation. I believe I will be installing the rest on either August 17/18. I will post updates when they come along.

Another question I've been wondering is if the mounts help out with the mount's distance from the steering rack when rack spacers are installed. My rack is right up next to my mount. That kinda sounded weird. lol
Hey where is the pdf for the clutch in install in the how to...i was looking it up and the pdf is not there no more
I was not getting much wheel hop to be honest. I just got it because I thought I would on the freeway with the new added hp. But since I put them in on saturday. I felt a difference right away with both mounts in. The steering much more precise, not that it already wasnt. Wehn I'm on a turn and I go on a bump, it sent my steering off with stock mounts. Now it's smoother than ever, if I hit a bump, it will stay on track and its much tighter. There are more vibrations in the cabin but worth it for me. I really like the mounts and recommend them highly! I feel much better in the turns, way more confident. Can't wait to take my car to the track circuit and see the difference. I love it!
Hahahahaha

Never said I was WOT. I go canyoning on weekends and sometimes there are some bumps on a turn where I don't see fast enough to avoid. The tires stay on the floor instead of one going in the air and the other not. It's planted and just sharper.
He was talking about me.. But I know what your talking about! I plan on gettin these

Between the NBSs and cams, I'm worried about vibes. I left the stockers in there because I don't do that many digs to see wheelhop, and I was hoping the stock mounts could make things a bit easier for the tranny and the occupants. lol If I could get a little bit of clearance about the steering rack though I'd feel better about my setup. I wonder if just some a Stage 1 setup from Powell(?) would clean that up a bit without adding too many vibes.
Update: Today I finally got my new tires on, 2 Nitto Nt05 up in the front for now. I also Installed my 3bar MAP sensors on my car. Since I did that I had to get a new tune for those sensors. I finally had to erase my Trifecta tune and upload a new tune from James using HP tuners. I did this so he can get a feel for my car right now while its on stock turbo and my driving habits .Another reason is so I can become more familiar with the tuning uploading and logging process cause I've never done this before. I want to be all ready for when my big turbo is installed. For a couple of days I will log my car and send him my logs. So far we are on the fourth revision of his tune. It's just getting stronger and stronger. I feel it becoming smother than my old tune. I absolutely love it. I will get pics of the tires up front later as my camera is charging. I don't know if I mentioned, one week from today is the turbo install! I can't wait!
Wow, I've never heard of it directly affecting steering in any way. I would've maybe guessed it if you were talking about getting on and off power during a turn - that it may have helped keep the car settled on its track.

Thanks man, slowly but surely.
No lol, the appoinment was set for aug10 at the shop. I needed to wait for another pay day too to be in the clear.
Yea, for the first week I really did not like the KY at all. It was soo hard to start in first gear. Now its broken in 500miles later it's chillen. Holds the power in third, no more little slips.
For now i'm on a conservative tune, he's working me up slowly. Then the EFR 6 days left!

I'll be completely honest with you, I didn't notice much vibes added with the cams and nbs. Just make sure your bottom end is balanced really well(better than factory spec) and you should be good. But the mounts make the biggest difference. I had them before and after the built engine. Not much of a difference at all.
Biggest difference as in the amount of vibes or something else?
