girlfriend should be dropping her car off shortly so I can go up there and get a new line. Double checked and measured everything so this time should be perfect

Perfect fit for the new drain line! Fired it up and after idling for 3 mins it started blueish white smoking. Shut it off and went inside pissed off I'm going to screw with it tomorrow and try to find the issue.

Could it be initial blowby till the rings get seated better? I'm assuming your coolant temp was still low

when i first started my car up after i put the turbo on it smoke the shop out from all the cutting fluid in the exhaust and oil on the turbo to keep it from rusting, probably all it is, hold the idle up for a few minutes to burn the **** out, then take it for a good drive to seat the rings.

it's definitely not normal. Oil is coming out of the turbo and dripping on the exhaust housing and then the ground. I attached a pic from sticking my arm under the car so it's not facing the right way but you can see the oil on the turbo

yep , I payed almost $1000 for it to be completely rebuilt. Still have my paperwork and everything. I just sent pics and info to Precision and they gave me a call and they're confused too. They want me to take it off and send it back again.

I guess this is a common problem on precision turbos and they always blame install error. My drain is off and I let it drain into a bucket and it's pointing straight down and still leaks out the side. So it's not a issue with my return line it's obviously a rebuild issue from when they replaced all the gaskets/bearings and all.

No word from precision yet , was supposed to be back Thursday but that would've meant they sent it out today. Hopefully they send it out tomorrow
