need help

ok so i am looking to come into some money shortly..... the type of money that will pay my car off and leave me with some extra cash (and even more extra cash to leave in the bank for a rainy day)...... i can't decide if i REALLY want a big turbo kit on the balt (at minimum s256 or gt3071r) or just get pistons, sleeves, a new clutch (either spec stage 3+ or exedy hyper... blah i forget the name but i think most of you know what i'm talking about) and a new tune and take some money and put it into something awd or rwd (preferably awd, looking into either building a 03-07wrx wagon, 1g dsm, or evo 8)

any opinion? i'll post a poll to try and make this easier, any experiance with any of this will help, also any suggestions for cars is more than welcome...... 03 cobra is also an option if i can find a basically stock one... i would really like to build this one, not just buy it..... ya know

again, any car options are welcome, but please be realistic, i'm looking at most to spend 6-7k on this project, less the price of the car......

ooooo and if you have specifics in mind for what i should try and build links are more than welcome

Honestly I would take the money, whatever the amount buy ZZP's stage 2 kit for the lnf, then a clutch, then tune and have fun with it.

hmm this is geting good 6 say big turbo balt, 6 say big turbo rwd, but i would like some responses on what kinda car please, there is just soooo many choices and i don't know what is a good build, was thinking ws6, or late 90's vette.....

I'm sure I wouldn't be satisfied with the tunability of a big turbo LNF (due to current tuning software limitations). I voted turbo rwd. make sure it has at least 6 cylinders too.

yeah at minimum it has to be a 6banger if it's rwd, how do you like the camaro? good boosted? no problems? how many psi? tq, hp? reliability? i don't need like a 10 second monster, i've only ever driven 3 rwd cars over 600whp...... fun but too scary for me for right now (i'm a big advocate on learning on lower hp cars and building your way up), i'm looking for something on the lighter side like a vette, and i'm only looking to be on like 7-9 psi to start with, somewhere in the high 4xx rwhp- low 5xxwhp range just til i can get used to it (prob like a year)

My Camaro is very fun to drive. It took a lot of work since I fabricated my own kit. The only problems I've had in 25k miles is breaking weak drive train components: stock clutch, 3 high-mileage transmissions, and two sets of rear gears. I started out at 14psi and detuned it to 10psi for safety. HP/TQ is estimated 545/500 at the flywheel on 14psi by the injector duty cycle and rpm (38pph injectors at 98%). One day I'll actually spend more than $100 on a transmission that will last more than 6 months and the 12bolt rear is waiting for me to put it together.

The Cobalt is also fun to drive... maybe more fun? but like I said, tuning capabilities are just not enough to "properly" compensate for extensive modification at this point. Plus, its my daily driver (that runs 1/4mi in 13.272sec@106.720mph) HP tuned by me.

I vote for the dsm, the aftermarket for it is huge and parts are cheap to come by. Not to mention awd launches are insane when using launch control.
