Need Help 50t
I amputting a 50t turbo on my ss/tc. I didn't know if there were any one who can make me a custom manifold or if any one knew a vendor that could do this. I dont even know if this is in the right spot.
yea its called a 50 trim because of the trim not the housing... the t3/t4 turbo with a 50 trim is wats best for the 2.0-2.4 motors ... i used 2 own a srt-4 i know everything about it
and i still miss my car.. soon i will get another 1 if i can find a non molested 1... i wish ripp modds and agpturbo were our vendors for the cobalts lnf motor, realtune and i forget all the other vendors....it takes 4 ever for people 2 makes numbers, parts and such

Hmm..that would be nice...AGP makes some niiice stuff...great kits for a bunch of different cars...I wonder why they haven't looked into it for these things..I mean they have kits for the speed3 and caliber srt4...the two other heavy hitters in the sport compact market...but perhaps if we email them and let them know that the css community is interested they would be willing to at least look into it.

i just wish we had as much venders like the srt-4,evos, ... for the year of me owning my lnf and it doesnt seem like its popular in aftermarket field as it should be :/.. and i know this car has potential thats why i bought it.. im just not liking how long it taking for parts 2 be made.. im in no hurry.. i just dont see the stuff i wanna see i wanna go all out :p
50 trims are not big at all and coming from a srt-4 owner you can ask any srt-4 guy thats an upgrade turbo but not really big. you make some nice power as alot srt-4 make well over 400whp 400tq
There are a lot more lnf's in the solstice/sky cars, and given that they're rwd you'd figure more vendors would jump at the opportunity. But i think the ecm is the biggest drawback, the lnf has been out 3 years and only now trifecta has unlocked fuel pressure control, only a year ago we had boost control. With the evo/sti/srt4 those features are unlocked within months of the car's release.
i dont care if its a limited production theres no excuse on not making aftermarket parts... also noone is really trying 2 crack our computers except 2 venders, hahn and zzp but thats it.... like i said we need more venders .... also even though there is a limited production on the cars... people still can buy the lnf motors from the factory so there is also an oppurtunity 2 modify a motor right there. and people have the advantage 2 do swaps... and they will be making even more money!

You forgot about trifecta and hptuners cracking the ecm, not sure what zzp is upto other than the fuel pressure increase mod. But hahn? Other than the bsr tuner, which is actually imported from a european vendor, i don't think their looking through any code in the lnf ecm.
True, but to get any power out of those mods you still need to fiddle around with the ecm. For 2 years the solstice lnf owners were stuck with stock power since the ecm simply didn't allow any power increase, you have no idea how frustrating this was. Im gonna make sure my next car does not have this type of **** style ecm.
You actually should be thankful that any vendor is making parts for a mere 3000 cars.

I don't see what people don't understand about limited production vehicles. Though the Sol/Sky shares our engine, it doesn't share any hard parts (such as any of the bolt ons). Yeah, some companies could do better on cracking the ECU, but we can work with what he have very well. IDK why people are complaining so much to be honest. Shoot, compile a list of complaints here, and I bet I could shoot half of them down.
Yeah, I mean, the best aftermarket is obviously Honda. But there are about 5 kajillion, billion Hondas out there. Second would be SRT's, and there are approximitely way too many of them out there. Third would be Evos, which are a $40k car that 24-27 year old guys buy, who are from the 'new money' crowd, where they spend massive amounts of money for parts. Then it dwindles substantially, IMO. Sure there are other cars in the mix with great aftermarkets, but why cry about it.
We can safely make 500 whp (obviously), and we have all the other things we need. We have a good suspension following from OTTP/Powell with the time attack parts, we have alot of stuff with the exception of wheels, and stuff to make 550+hp, which, I am sure came with time in any other crowd too.
the Evos have had the 4G63, which has been huge in the DSM crowd for years. The Evo 7-9 made the X a popular platform, so development sped up on that as well. Also, for the ECUs, they are not nearly as hard to crack as our Bosch ECU.

Well...AGP got back to me and...
"Pete,
I would love to do something for that motor, but as of right now we are completely swamped on current projects. If we get some openings in the future we might bring one in, but as of right now it isn't on the board of things we are focusing on. Keep checking back with us though, as things can easily change.
Jon"
So maybe sometime down the road I suppose. And honestly I can't blame them...the cars they are working on aren't nearly as limited production as our cars are...I mean SRT4s, Speed3s, Evos, Stis...we can't compete with those production numbers...the only car they work on that has comparable production numbers is the caliber srt4...but they've already got a lot of srt4 experience from the previous model so no surprise there.

you know the funny part is I knew about genuinesaab.com before many on this website and before they were ever even mentioned on this website they had THE EXACT same bsr tuner and it was around $599. For some unexplained reason after they were mentioned on this website the price jacked up. it was weird
yea some of u are happy for wat they have out now...but theres other people who want more than wat ur happy with but im looking more in to the motor valves, valve springs cams, pulleys throttle body, direct port injectors, intake manifolds, bro i just keep going on and on.... want my motor built not put some bolt ons and down the road i have 2 buy a new motor because i should of done it the first time even though the cobalt motor is compatible to 1,500hp.. but i want every thing done the right way.. but watever just having a conversation about it and people taking it 2 the heart....when im stating we need more venders is because when can make are motors in our car much popular 2 compete with the stis and srt-4s and evos and any other cars out there on the market
