My condensation did the same thing, just randomly one day. I heard a noise while crossing rail road tracks, I pull over to see whats up and theres the catch just hanging there by one side. Thankfully the rail road tracks didn't tear it off and crack my IC.

Anyway, I took the catch off, and used JB Kwik to fill the holes on the bottom of the IC where the catch plugged in. I've been driving it like that for about 15k miles and have had no problems.

You need to fill the holes with JB Weld, if you're cracked in that area. Depends on how it's broken. You can do a boost leak test to confirm, or if you find yourself running like crap, fill the holes.

Did you run a boost leak test? You might still have a leak from one of the small holes in the pic. I bought a metal IC, so I never bothered with removing that thing, but maybe someone else with experience with this can tell you for sure if you need to seal those holes. I think there's one in the bottom of the bolt channel, too. The bolt has an o-ring underneath it as well as the red o-ring you see, so those might be pressure seals, and not condensation seals.

Aside from the plastic end caps, the stock IC isn't bad. Especially since most aftermarket ICs weigh quite a bit more.

You won't get any agreement from me on that.^ It went through 3 of the stock IC's on stock boost. I got so tired of worrying about it cracking and leaving me on the side of the road that I broke down and bought the ZZP IC. Of course, since I had to replace a stock part with an aftermarket part, my dealership will use that as an opportunity to deny any type of warranty claim on the engine. Oh well, I'd rather have the peace of mind that comes with knowing my car won't be on the side of the road after letting off the throttle on a WOT burst.
