when you guys ordered your intake, did you have to specify whether or not your motor has that metal plate on the intake side of the head or not? my 08 does NOT have that plate, and the vac lines just sit in those craptastic little clips.

sounds really good.... I have trifecta 22psi tune, muffler del, and injen charge pipes, but if you was me, would you get a HF Cat DP, or this K&N cai, for best HP boost? I am thinking DP, but this intake sounds great... it does have the heat shield right?

Downpipe for sure, have you seen the flat spot restriction where the 2nd o2 sensor is?

I installed CATLESS DP first it was a good power adder I could Dec feel it.......I would say both but if you could only get one or the other I would say DP first. The K&N SRI does have a heat shield.

Cool! So is the Meagan Racing DP a direct fit to stock header and exhaust? If so, ordering today. A little torn on whether to get the straight through or HF cat DP though?

Yes its a direct fit and i reused the gaskets and many people have!! I have no leaks and the DP is awesome!! I live in CA and emissions laws are crazy, but i went with the Catless I just kept my stock DP so i can switch back when its smog time!!

Has anyone gone from Intake Tube with airbox mod to K&N? Is it something I should consider or am I good with what I have for sound and performance?

you don't have learn down anymore, noticed in your sig it said you are tuned.....but i have had mine on for a few days and it still sounds the same, cruising on the highway is pretty funny b/c you can hear it a lot in 5th gear just tapping the gas
