The best ones I've seen. These folks actually put a lot of engineering effort into them:

SRP CHEVROLET COBALT and SS PEDALS

I would take the car to the dealershiop and have them cover it under warranty, then get the aftermarket pedals of your choice and keep the oem ones as a backup.

really silly question. but its just the rubber that is breaking? or the actual pedal assembly?

actually the clutch pedal breaking is a pretty common problem. Since the clutch pedal is indirectly linked to you clutch, its a tell tale sign that your clutch is going bad. GM designed the pedal to start decomposing as the clutch wears. If the pedal is noticeably broken then you should start noticing clutch slipage.

Buy a new clutch and your problem is fixed.

don't these all just screw onto the pedal its self? How are you going to install it if your missing half the pedal?

Performance Pedals resells SRP pedals. I much prefer SRP's site because they detail their testing, and you can even see the coefficient of friction of each pedal type in dry and wet conditions.
