Car has been acting like this all day. It's only got 350 KMS on the clock so I'll go easy on it for a bit and see what happens. The exhaust note does change definitely! It's seems to get a little louder and seems like it wants to start pulling but just won't.

I got under the car and checked the waste gate actuator and the fittings that go to it.....all seem fine. What i did notice was the wastegate rod where it enters the actuator was rusty .. so i cleaned it up and now the problem is gone lol. Maybe it was just a coincidence but it's running great lol.

Good to hear. To answer your question yes the exhaust note changed a bit but not much when my car would start to bog. Never heard of a rusty wastegate causing your problem but hopefully it's fixed.

Mine did the same thing when new until apprx 1000 miles .Sometimes it felt really sluggish and like it was hitting a wall and sometimes was surgeing a little. After that it its all ok.Its got to be a computer programming tourqe management.O ya mine is vey loud when cold for approx 2 minust then goes away .Its a normal condition .All tcs do that .I got apprx 2100 miles now and it kicks ass every time when i give it hell.

Thanks for the reply's. I just got back from driving it and all is well.

The TC improved handling is really noticeable. The car feels more planted through the corners and actually feels like it almost squats down into the turn compared to the SS/SC. My old SC handled really good, but this car just begs to be pushed in the twisties.

Another thing...... at cold start it's really loud for about 1 minute then quiets down to a normal exhaust note..... almost like something is bieng bypassed. Coolant temps are around 196-198 and i see as low as 190 cruising. Thanks for any help you might be able to give .
I made a post about the falling flat on it's face. It was pulling timing like a motherf***. As far as I can tell it's a safety measure and it went away after putting a thousand miles on it, going with 94 octane, and getting a bigger intercooler.

Just wait a month it will probably go away.

I have the RPD in my car, I'll see what the timing is when it does it.

Bastards at the dealer filled mine with 87 octane. Boy was I pissed when I found out. I almost walked away without the car after I found out.

I specified prior to picking mine up that it would have premium in the tank... Still, can't be sure if the moron who filled it listened. I babied the first tank and filled it when it was down to 1/2, then when it had gone down 1/4, etc.

Not trying to be a self proclaimed GM tech, but after some research, with the tighter tolerances that newer engines are being built at you really lose that 3k break in period, its recommended that you drive the car to redline through a few heat cycles within the first five hundred miles, followed by an immediate oil change, or you risk the time that the rings and "tighter" hatched cylinder hone "mate" with each other ensuring a trouble free longer lasting engine, someone correct me if i'm wrong.

Well i figured it out after it stopped producing any boost at all lol. The connector on the wastgate solenoid pulled apart and threw a p0243 . Must be the guy at the factory didn't lock the connector down and it's been loose this whole time ERRR. All is well for now . Thanks for all the reply's.

Heres how to fix this issue. The computer needs to see a fixed long pull at max boost to settle into its calibration window for wastegate pwm settings. Lug the vehicle in third gear at about 30 MPH and do a WOT and let the thing pull hart to about 70 MPH. Do this 4 or 5 times and you will see the boost control settle down. Sometimes if you do all city driving the control value can get kinda screwed up. I do this about once a month if I'm doing all city driving. It keeps that funky controll issue from settling into the wastegate PWM control values.

Thanks for the advise . I finally got a good pull out if it last night . It never pulled like that before , the motor sounded alot louder than any other time in the 700 miles ive had it . I could believe it when i was checking connections and that one just fell right off lol. I'm very relieved because i was starting to think i made a mistake getting rid of the SC .hehe

Seems odd that the ECM has to see WOT to see the values and have to "re-learn" them over again every so often. Good luck getting GM to provide an ecm update for this lol.

This is just for stock cars correct? Sometimes my car feels slower, and I just say it's having a bad day lol.

Since an aftermarket tune uses different values I'm going to assume that they don't suffer from this at all but I could be wrong.

Well mine is back doing it again, starting to **** me off . No lights and boost seems fine. I'll just put some more miles on it and see if it works itself out. I'm a turbo newb so forgive me ..... is the charge pipe that runs over the valve cover supposed to be so hot that you cant touch it? thanks./

Ya mines doing the same thing. Im at 900 miles. It seems to spool fine at around the 2-2.5k area and power does pick up a bit but it sounds and feels bogged down then at around 4500rpm it starts pulling harder and pulls till i shift. I havent got into it alot. Ive been waiting to break 1000 miles.

I have a rpd so i can watch knock and ignition timing and all that. What should it read at wot?
