i Have been experiencing this bogging down now. just hit 8k mileage. first time this has ever happened.
some of you were mentioning that it was during break in period. but obviously im way beyond that.


could it be poor gas? water? etc?

3rd gear. start to pull hard, gets to about 3k then completely bogs down. exhaust note sounds similar to downshifting to 3rd from higher gear.

any further thoughts on this?


(oh ya and sorry for bringing this back from the dead)

 

My problem was the weather. During the day its 95* outside with 60% or more humidity. The ecu is pulling between 3*-6* of timing at wot. Thats a fair chunk of power. Since being tuned I now have no KR with the tune enabled

yeaaaaa buddy. same here. my dad did the same the next day!!! i almost ****. but he was suprising me with free gas so i didnt mention anything. but i drove mine like a Waffen SS panzer on a blitzkrieg from day one and it only seemed to get faster. who knows...ich mus zerstoren

 

Uhhh IIRC the later MK4 panzer topped out at around 25 mph lol Happy motoring hehe

What ended up fixing my car was using some lucas fuel system treatment threw the intake . I'm positive i had sticky valves , the way the exhaust note would change ...and the fact that it was boosting fine with out any codes .... lead me to try the intake valve lubing procedure .

I used the small vacuum line in the center of the intake manifold , let it suck in about 1 oz. then shut it off for 15 minutes . Then went out for a 15 min drive .....the problem has never showed it's self again, the cars been great ever since.

I know it sounds kinda out there but it worked for me, there is no placebo about it , the problem was so pronounce that my wife could tell it was running bad .
