No Coolant Temp

No Coolant Temp

So on my info screen... its not showing a coolant temp... just - - -
Also when I turn the car off the fan runs for a while, even if I wasnt driving hard... is there a sensor gone bad? help me out please

its a sensor failure. when the DIC reads "---" your car is thinking its -40*F btw. lol running super rich

Do the thermostat too. My friend replaced sensor and was still getting the error. Only thermostat fixed it. Might as well just do both well you're right there.

Should be backside of the motor. Let me see if I can find a picture.

Did you ever find that picture for the temp sensor location? I get tired of cycling through the DIC to see the temp. The other alternative is a HEAD temp gauge which is uber easy to install and once you get some experience with it you can convert the reading to coolant temp. The advantage to the head temp gauge is it's almost instantanious. I'd still like to know where the coolant sensor is located OR where the coolant can be tapped into somewhere else on the block. Maybe a casting plug??
