No lift also requires just tapping the clutch down about 10-15% of it's travel if that. Doing no-lift from 1-2 just results in time wasting tire spin. No lift is also not made to work above third gear, just first and second.

hey an0malous, Shifting without no lift drops rpms and creates boost lag and really slows the car down. It's not a gimick, it's real and makes a big difference in acceleration, BIG difference.

Well i had enough miles on my car finally to give the NLS a go today. All I can say is beautiful... I love this car...

It's so seamless it almost makes you weep! :]

I took the time to prove to alot of very knowledgable members of this board that WOT shifting when done correctly, is basically doing the same thing, dispite being ridiculed and flamed in the process.
i couldnt care less if you think im bitter, i just have little time for "trust me, it makes a difference"
and "oh it works great" I like to see real world data for things.
but ive seen no hard proof that its doing anything significant at all.

just because your exhaust makes a "pop" noise, doesnt mean its faster

do i think im absolutely correct? nope.
but at this point. no one has shown me any reason to think otherwise.

Ive wotshifted more times than i can count,
and as i said in the other big thread about it, no-lift shift hasnt proven itself to be anything more than a gimmick to me so far.
how does this even make sense. If it does something then...it does something.

People who say this is power shifting and it has been around... fail... no... the computer on board the car has an algorithm programmed into it that in essence provides support for the action that is the "No Lift Shift"

Before this, I do believe it was strictly analog.

That is like me looking at a microwave cooking my food, and then calling it a gimmick.

I'll explain Anom's view on this briefly...

Just because it "does something", doesn't make it productive.

What exactly does the "algorithm" do?

Proof of any difference between what it does and what I can do without having that feature present in my PCM??

See my point...

yah. that.
though i dont even deny that its somewhat productive.
but my point, is that its effect, is very very minimal, and can be easily duplicated by changing 1 number in HPtuners.
