Nos

I really dont have the money to turbo swap this year. I am looking into NITROUS. I know that alot of people dont agree with NOS. I am not looking to go ***** to the wall. Like 50-75 shot. So just looking for some advice. What kit would be the best one to go with.

Thanks
MIKE

first off, nos is a brand, its not n02.

Nitrous is completely safe as long as you run more fuel. Its Nitrogen OXYGEN. more oxygen, more fuel. Thats always been the rule of thumb right?!

so. there also zex, nitrous express. each do it differently.

also, your going to want to run colder plugs. it starts cold, and the explosion makes it super hot. so you need to run colder plugs. also change them frequently.

um...you could probably get away with a 50 shot with colder plugs. however, i recommend bigger injectors to compensate.

omg shut up dude and stop watching fast and furious

I had the NOS Sniper kit, they go on ebay for around 250 bucks for a full wet kit. Comes with everything you need and works great. Get that and start off small, then enjoy your new addiction.

I wouldn't do above a 50 shot at first and see how it goes.

Sorry meant to make it n02. I have a ss/tc not a LSJ. I have really did my research on the bigger injectors but as far as i know now one makes them. The zzp car with that tractor trailer tire size turbo doesnt even have bigger injectors.

I def didnt want to go with the power commander one. Everytime i mash it then i would be in the tank. It would be to hard on the car also. How high of octane would you think.

You don't need higher octane gas to run a nitrous set up.

One step colder plugs and some timing retarded in a tune would do the trick...

109 octane gas....

doesnt hurt...but not required, i agree. As long as its over 91 octane its golden. I'm going to be running 94 octane with my nitrous in my 370z. If i get everything set up...hard as **** trying to find 1 step colder plugs to hit my engine.

sorry mike, i dont know much about the tc. you should be able to easily get away with a 50 shot then if the injectors can handle it. but as snake said ... 1 step colder plugs and timing change and you should be good to go

A nitrous system ain't cheap, either. I say save that money and put it toward a turbo upgrade later.

i really dont think changing the plugs would be good.

no performance gain with the ss/tc.

stock AC Delcos are usually fine from what i have seen.

and dont run 109 octane. unless thats the only thing you will run and tune for it. my buddy blew his 08 ss/tc on 109 octane and a trifecta tune at the track. blew the rockers right off. all 4 cylinders misfired.

I would rather run meth than giggle juice. but thats because i only have 91 octane. soo.

up to you though man. talk to blazin07(sp?). he knows a lot bout nitrous setups too

Make sure you get a tune for that nitrous or you will blow your engine like Choko did. Nitrous adds tons of extra oxygen to the mixture thus making it way leaner than commanded. This is the ONLY situation would advise running the car richer than 12.7 A/F. You need that extra fuel to keep your EGTs and knock in check. Stock or very close to stock timing and a 12.2-12.6 A/F would be best if you are going to run nitrous on this car.

Don't blow the welds on the manifold. Oh and Vin Diesel and the mad scientist will have to tear down the engine and replace the piston rings you fried.

That is because David (not me the other David LOL) has a fail tune. Lets inject a really rich mixture of extremely high flash point gasoline and give it very little time to burn. Partly David's fault putting 109 octane in his car, but If his A/F was not so rich he likely would have not had that issue.

I know right now that my a/f is 12.9-13.0. so it will have to be alot richer than that.
