I just ordered MPX. Is it worth it? Well, the Ebay ones...1) Don't have a turnkey mount..2) Don't have a simple drain drain valve on the bottom (that's a BIG DEAL for me)...3) May not have internal screen for oil condensation..3) You have a PROVEN vendor to deal with here if you have a problem. All that's worth the extra $75 bucks...I mean how many dinner dates with your significant other is that

I currently have 14,500 miles on my car, is there a point where a catch can is too late and other measures need to be taken like cleaning it or something first?

It's never too late. You're just gonna add more oil to the intake as you add milage..a no brainer. I'm at 24K now and I'm adding one....so 14,500 is even better. As far as other measures...this is the FIRST one you should take. I suppose you could try sea foaming, but I'm not comfortable with that.
