oil in intake
oil in intake
I just changed my stock intake and noticed what looked like oil in the intake at the coupler. seemed fairly old and sticky but i thought that was odd. I changed the stock upper ic piping 3 weeks ago and there was no sign of oil in that. any ideas?
did not realize how loud the k@N would be.

1. boost is pushing the oil out of the breather line (when using a after market intake pipe)
2. aggressive driving during left hand turns (oil spilling out of the breather line)
everybody has had some form of oil in the charge pipes, your best bet is to install a "oil catch can" between the intake pipe and the breather line on the valve cover - most catch cans will work, has long it doesn't use "steel wool" as an "oil filter", a paper type or venturi type of catch can will work and one thats automatically drains back to the oil pan, it's saves you the trouble of emptying the can every week.
K&N filter is loud, especially at WOT.. you'll know when its doing its job!! feeding her more air!!
