Unhappy only getting 6 lbs of boost

I installed bad-mad catless down pipe first and everything was fine. This week I installed Hahn cold air. Engine light is on and I am only getting 6 lbs--HELP! Did not go in to find out what cel code it is.

Have you considered putting the stock intake back on to see if it's causing the problem?

Maybe you should find out what code that is......ya know...useful information is typically gleaned when you know wtf the computer is trying to tell you....

Did you mess up the connector on the intake housing?

ive seen this once, the intake skewed the trims so far off it through a lean code and went limp. also check your plug on the intake and sensors everywhere where u were working. Also get the code scanned soon.

Thread is pointless.. You installed some mods, didnt tune for them, Got a check engine light and want everyone else to tell you whats wrong with your car.. its common sense. Scan the car and find out what the code is then people can help you. If help is even needed. Your maf is probably way out of whack as stated above throwing you into limp mode. You most likely need a tune/or retune. A aftermarket down pipe and intake are going to flow a lot more air through the motor than factory so the computer has no clue what to do.

Maybe you put the MAF in backwards? The arrows should go towards the turbo.

Did you ever pull the code? That will most likely tell us what the issue is.

Lets see..on Sunday I pulled the battery fuse for 2 minutes and then reinstalled the fuse...cranked it up..drove to a gas station and filled it up without shutting the engine down...drove 137 miles from Jacksonville to Orlando while getting 15 pds of boost when needed....cranked her up again that same evening and boost was still 15 pds...made two hard runs and all seams fine except I have an engine light on...I'll find out why the light is on tomorrow at the dealer while I get my oil changed....I thank all that actually tried to help without useless profanity.

I'm with RYRO14.

Scan it and that will point you in the right direction. Hit Autozone, they'll do it for free. Much easier than guessing
Just check all your connections, etc. I left the vac hose off the BPV once. If you want to check quick before you take it to scan it just take your time. Walk through all that you had to disconnect and check them.

Sounds like limp mode to me too.

the 6 lbs of boost problem turned out to be a stuck sensor. The dealer replaced it for free...all is good now.

Stuck sensor? Sensors don't "stick."
