Opinions on Charge Piping

I am thinking about replacing the upper and lower charge pipes on the car and I wanted to hear a few peoples takes on them.

The options I am looking at are the ZZP Pipes and eventually IC or the new Treadstone kit with the small IC.

Now, what I am wondering is, is there a benefit to changing both the upper and lower charge pipes or is the upper the only one that is really restricted? If that is the case, I will just buy the ZZP upper and save some money until I need to upgrade the intercooler, at which time I will replace the lower pipe too.

only do the top side CP for now. When you do the lower CP do it when the bumper and IC are off, will make it way easier.

The cold side aka bottom CP isnt really restrictive so you dont have to do it....people usually do it for MAF relocation.

Sounds good. Is there really any power to be gained from doing the upper pipe?

i saw a few hp on the dyno, but nothing all that noticeable. what i did notice tho was that the turbo seemed to spool up a bit quicker. or maybe im imagining things haha. either way it makes it look 1000x better.

makes the turbo sound louder better flow than the stock. but its not a power upgrade by any means, but it is recommended imo.

ah you already have an intake, ya you may not really notice a big increase in noise then.

Does the Upper Charge piping hit the hood? Does the Hahn Charge piping kit on Modern performance come with upper and lower in one kit? How hard is the install? It is deff on my list of "to-do's" because I think it makes the engine bay look clean, but up next is the DP and i can't decide on exhaust or the charge piping.

The Hahn Charge Piping does offer both the hot and cold side. Personally I think it's overpriced though, because the lower charge piping is a waste to do unless your doing a MAF relocation, and you cant even do a MAF relocation with the Hahn Charge Piping.

Go with something more reasonably priced like Injen, Dejon, or ZZP. Also be sure to invest in a good set of couplers and T-BOLT clamps!!!!! IT IS WORTH THE EXTRA MONEY!

Also if you're interested in the Injen Charge Pipiing check out NGA Motorsports. I paid $180 shipped through them!

Injen hot side(upper) and ZZP Cold side (lower) I do not have a new cold side yet but as soon as mine fails or I get a new intercooler I will replace the cold side.

Looks like I'm going to grab the ZZP upper and then get the whole treadstone kit next year when I upgrade the IC. ZZP upper for sale in June, keep your eyes open! Haha
