Opinions on stripped meth fitting inlet

i stripped the tapped inlet for what i think is the check valve for my meth setup. the hole is located about halfway down the upper charge pipe and the fitting looks like this AIS Check Valve Fitting - 1/4 NPT To 1/4" O.D. Tubing its the one farthest to the left

what are your guys opinions on the best way to fix this? will a welded piece of aluminum over the stripped hole hold 25-30 lbs? i dont think AIS sells a larger fitting that i could just retap in the pipe. i wonder if i could find some kind of adapter that expands the size from 1/4 to 3/8 or something

They make weld in NPT bungs, so you could go that route or weld your existing hole shut like you previously mentioned.

Take the charge pipe out and fix it properly buy having the proper bung welded in place. Have some pride in your car and the work you do on it! It will reward you in the long run.

Yeah that works too. Just doesn't look great.

I have to do the same thing with my charge pipe so I can install my Meth Kit.

I think he was kidding but it COULD work. JB doesn't hold up well to vibes tho so I would recommend against that honestly.

Best bet is as suggested, get a bung welded onto the CP where the hole currently is, it will give you more threads for the fitting to grab into and stay put!

Tell David I said Hi! Haven't seen him on in a bit
