Go 95-100mph in 3rd gear and let off gas, see if you hear the rumbling 'resonant frequency' of the DP.

Ya i have a problem with mine. Its about 1/2 inch too short and when tightened up hits off the heat shield. I now have to modify my catback so it dont hit because they still have yet to call me back after they said they would look into it. That was 3 almost 4 months ago

So basically i wont buy anything from them again.

OK, I'm going to install it, if it doesn't fit, or if i get the rumbling, I'm going to return it... I'd hate to spend another 100.00 to get the Hahn, but if that's what it takes, i guess i will.

as the old saying goes, "you get what you've paid for" I would spend the extra money on ZZP or Hahn, but I'm not at this point because I got other things coming up.

saying is true yes.....ive seen hahns rub the heatshield too like everyone elses. just bend it slightly out of the way. i cant really say much for mine as i have an aftermarket turbo on the car so my downpipe isnt rubbing.....

to the op. if you want you could wait for performance autowerks to come out with their stock replacement stuff. should be out in 2-3 weeks

mine was about an inch and a half too short. i had to move the whole exhaust forward
on the rubber hangers to compensate. heat shield also rubbed. i just bent it out of the
way for clearance. have not had any resonance issues, i love the way it sounds.
all in all it was a fine purchase.

Is that why it hits the heat shield? I can't figure out thy the f**k it's hitting my heatshield and it's annoying the hell out of me. OTTP needs to create a remedy for this ASAP perhaps a small sandwich peice between the downpipe and the cat-back (1/2" thick gasket type thing) and some longer studs or something. Because I've bent the **** out of my heatshield and it's still too close to the heatshield. Please update me on what they do, or if you want me to e-mail or PM someone to support your claim let me know.

Besides that it's a great peice, high quality, nice welds and the price is great.

Yes, i measured it and it came out 1/2" too short and when tightened up it hitting the heat shield. I wouldnt be so pissed if they would have at least tried to help me out. I called and they said they would look into the place that makes em for them and they would get back to me. Well I had to call them back a week later and they still didnt have an answer so he said lemme do some research and Ill get back to u with a solution. Still awaiting that phone call from January....

To be honest with you I lost your number and was hoping that you would call back. Please give us a call at 810-765-4910, I will do my best to get it taken care of.

As for everyone else. I'm hearing anywhere from no problems to 1.5" short. They are all built on a fixture, even if the fixture is wrong it can only be wrong by one number. Please take pictures of your problems and measure the actual amount it's short. Email the pictures to sales@ottperformance.com

1/2" is about right. The flange that bolt's up the the cat-back side is touching the heatshield which means it went up and towards the passenger side a bit. I think a little sandwich peice between the downpipe and the cat-back side with some extended studs would do the trick for those of us that already have the downpipe.

That's bullshit. If they don't own up for their mistakes I will be forced to create a new thread with pics showing how the OTTP LNF Downpipe fits and then we will see if they come up with a remedy for us guys that already have the downpipe.
