They told me out of everyone who had bought the dp, nobody had a problem of it being too short like mine. So im kinda glad to see they also lie to me let alone wont man up for their mistake.

+1 I cant believe the thousands of times users on this site are bitching and complaining because of pm's. That has to be one of the WORST ways to contact a vendor. the db errors this site has and the LIMIT they set is stupid. I think people are scared to use a phone. I call CED all the time, usually to check on a part then we bs for a bit. After this CED meet when I get to see ottp in person I'll probably bug them more :P

Ive never had a contact issue with ottp. But I rarely pm as well...

umm...if you have noticed, no one even told them their pipe was not fitting. so how would they know if no one that bought it told them, well except you.

Fas98 posted a few different ways to solve the problem. Maybe the problem is nobody is telling the vendor of the issue, and instead is just saying they suck. The vendor needs feedback on their products directly to them.

I have a feeling this is internet bravado, and you are too scared to call and confront OTTP in person. Just call, they're great guys, and will work with you to correct the issue on a one by one basis.

I did call them, ive talke to them 3 times. We came up with a sloution but its not good enough. Do u honestly think i should have to pay to fix their mistake? I dont and if it happened to u, i bet ud be a lil pissed. Im noy tryin to bash them nor did i ever say they sucked. I just said i wont buy from them, now if they take care of this like they should i wouldnt have a problem with them. I would buy from them again, now this has been goin on since Dec 16.

Now that we have 3 codes thrown that have nothing to do with the cat or secondary O2 sensor, it's pretty easy to see that there are issues with his car that need to be addressed before it would be remotely sensible to blame the downpipe.
i stand corrected thank you sir. i lost track of that thread awhile ago.

basically if your ottp downpipe is incorrect i think they should fix the issue at no charge to you unless you caused the issue on your own..... thats just how i look at it.

I have been running an OTTP downpipe since January and all I can say is that it looks beautiful and fits perfect. Not a single CEL or code thrown because of the design of O2 sensor housing. I do get a bit of a "burble" when I let off the throttle but I have had this on many different cars with catless downpipes. OTTP has been great in all of my dealings with them.

Didn't you miss your gear on an attempted no-lift shift when that happened?

Guys after working on this I am lost. I had Dan at Clear Image send over one of his dp's for me to test fit. It's the exact same length as ours. The synapse was 1/4" longer than both, yet all dp's fit our test car great.

Well your dp will be the same as the one I made for it....which is why I'm lost. Only thing I can think of is that not every car is the same.

We're hearing this a lot lately, and I suppose it is a possibility. It is just a Cobalt, afterall.

So what would you recommend Josh? Should I take it to an exhaust shop?

Mine is crooked I'll post pics later when the rain subsides. My exhaust tip is tweaked way to the left. Almost a quarter inch from the skirt. As soon as I get exhaust built, I'll be good, but the problem with my car was a faulty map sensor and a NLS.
