p0101 - an issue that can't seem to be resolved
Anyone with a SS/TC have a p0101 - Maf Circuit/Performance out of range?
Has nothing to do with aftermarket anything as we eliminated that by stock parts.
When the engine light comes on for the p0101 code. it looses power and will not boost.
Both TSB's were done and checked. Replace Actuator due to possible crack or hole in nipple & check Intercooler for cracks or leaks.
Same issue. Been at the dealer for 5 days with 3 techs trying to figure it out.
voltage check, ground check, you name it.
Car had a new MAF put in, worked fine for 1 hr. then back to same state. 2 times over.
Long shot, but figured someone may have had this issue.

I have a vendor working on it too for me. I have a lot of mods done and we can't get it figured out. GGGRRRRRR
me and dealer are gonna put a new computer in and see if this helps.
there is another report of this in FL @ a dealer with a 100% stock car with 1,400 miles on it. they have yet to figure it out also. will keep you updated, do same.

did have hahn tune like you, doubt that is the issue.
no hahn tune will not cause problems, power and ground are good and all the sensors are ok then its time to replace the computer for internal failure. then it will be fixed. i worked for mercedes and with 280 control units on the cheap cars and even more on the expensive ones, i did alot of that kind of testing. man i turned alot of stuff in for warranty. good luck!
BTF (the guy that made the GT3076R kit) said it came on but he cleared it and it hasn't come back, so I'm not sure if he did anything.
my cousins sc has this problem where when we tune it the gas gauge works backwards but put stock stage 2 in and its good again. try and figure that out since having hpt does not change anything having to do with the gauge. ecms are expensive and usually a backorder item for gm.
Thats the code I got when I scraped in a driveway and caused the metal condensation catcher on the bottom of the intercooler to break loose and crack the endtank. Check to see if its still there and not hanging down or loose. The dealer did everything you mention above before noticing the leak when he was under the car. Have them look very very closely at the intercooler end tanks for a crack.

The 101 code is based on a predicted MAF reading vs. actual. The PCM checks the MAF while cruising a steady speed for several seconds. If the reading is more than a certain percentage away from the predicted flow, then the code is set. The issue with the LNF setup is that the MAF readings can easily vary far more than they would with most other vehicles. With the MAF mounted before the turbo and several feet of charge tubing, it's pretty easy to run into issues. A small leak in the charge tubing will cause the problem, but even without a leak, the allowable variance should still be set higher on the LNF. I would disable the code until you can modify the lookup table or increase the allowable variance.
well. car is still down after new computer. they thought was intercooler. i tried my synapse, my stock. and the stock intercooler does have a bulletin about cracking easy. they said my flow with aftermarket intercooler is 2-3 grams higher then it should be. but.... same with stock.
So we are at a dead end.

Naw we got it because the charge pipe blew off.

why would it need a revised pcm?
They got a new pcm for it today, same deal.
Once that code comes on, car goes in limp/no boost mode.
they updated the table and jump up the flow.
still an issue.
they just go done smoke testing/pressue testing,. pipes, intercooler etc. same deal. same code

Because it's doomed by design. As I stated in my first post, there are many factors that make the prediction far more complex than it is on most vehicles. If they have too many of these cases, they will revise the PCM to allow a wider range before setting the code. Until then, I would delete the code.
dealer is a little stupid, but we got it. would help if a tech didnt check off he did something when he didnt.
other then tiny crack in stock one. TSB.
this was found, after i took it off to test for leak. instead of smoke test on car.
as you seen it broke down the weld. aka welding/tig stress issue.

no abuse, so it was just a oops on making it. So i hope the vender on here makes it good.
