P0106 P0107 Help!!

Yesterday i installed my CIA catless downpipe..everything was fine..took my friend who helped me install it out for a ride..beat on the car a little harder then normal but nothing that would remove tire ware. We then stopped..turned the car off and on and i noticed a CEL. went home and checked it and it was P0106/P0107. Did a quick search on the forums saw it to be the Map Sensor..deleted it and forgot about it. Well today i started my car up..was all good..turned it off and back on and sure enough the CEL poped up.

Now, i have Dejon Intake/CIA Downpipe/Trifecta Tune. im going to the track tomorrow..wil this hurt my performance? it looks like when i am half throtle or 3/4 throtle it doesnt hold boost..it negates back to zero..but when i am on it it spikes to 180-190 KPA then holds at around 140 kpa.

Should i not go to the track tomorrow? im trying to get in to the dealership today to get it replaced but i dont know if ill be able to.

check the sensors on your charge piping. the piping has been known to flex and break the wires on the TMAP if i recall correctly

dude ive blown my map sensor 4 times! my car is stock expt. for a hks muffler. its been covered under warenty and what not. im in the process of lemon law. my case is going through better then i thought. gm will soon be buying my car back. these map sensors are bull shtttt! i am extremly disssssponted in this cobalt. i am glad i kept is stock and didint tune it! i had big plans in the future for this car but its not going to happen it just dont feel like its guna last. whats funny is i dont beat on my car at all! raley ever in full boost and its adult driven! only NLS'd maby 10 times all second to third and third to fourth!

Do not track the car with a bad map sensor it is not a good idea. Keep it out of boost if at all possible.

i didint baby it. i drove it and toook real good care of it. i just expected more for the price i payed. i havint had 1 issue with my evo. besides ones that i brought up on it. i drove that stock for awhile. no issue. this cobalt is my daily driver. and the damn MAP blows after every time the dealer fixs it. i just think i got the lemon out of the batch. i love the car works perfect for my daily driver. just wish this issue wouldint keep hapning.

no cobalt bashing here

Let GM buy it back and get another one odds are you will not have that issue again.

I would go see who you were tuned by, or if you did the tuning yourself check out the MAF readings, especially when its HOT.

Vince tuned me..im one of his dealers..hes on vacation this weekend..monday ill let him look at the logs

you know your map sensor is broken when...

Your boost gauge spikse at 180-190 KPA then settles to 140KPA

btw 180-190 KPA is 25-27 psi
