P0299 Dev: 05E8

Hi everyone,

Current Mods
Stock Turbo
Trifecta E47 Tune @ 24 PSI
ZZP Intercooler / Charge Piping
Forge BPV
K&N Intake
Hahn Catted Downpipe and Exhaust

Had my car at the track yesterday, and on my 4th pull I threw a code. I was in 3rd gear going down the track and at about 93 miles per hour the car stopped boosting. Did this a second time and the same thing happened.

Scanned for the code this morning and I got P0299 Dev: 05E8 Histroy SES Current Stored Turbocharger/Supercharger A under boost condition.

The first 3 runs didn't have a problem and I have had all of these mods on for a while now. The car runs perfectly well at the moment, and can hit full boost in 2nd and 3rd gear.

From reading on the forums other people having a similar code said it might be a vacuum leak. I am going to check for that anyone else have any ideas what it might be?

Thanks,

Mike

I'll have to definitely check that. We just replaced the mounts that same day as well, there might be a chance we bumped that area and messed something up. I'll post an update in a while once I determine what's happened.

I didn't end up checking mine because I could not replicate the problem again. I checked the vacuum lines and charge pipes, all good. I've never touched the waste gate rod, Vince "loosened up" some of the parameters in the tune and so far so good.

Good question though if anyone knows of a link where it shows how to adjust it.

I had a this happen as a fluke I think when I went to the drag strip the other night. I hit 3rd gear at 93 mph, and i threw the code.

I e-mailed vince about it though, there wasn't any problem with the tune, but he made some adjustments to the parameters that throw this code and so far so good.
