Pedders Installed on Saturday
Pedders Installed on Saturday
I'm getting some 19's soon so I ordered some Pedders to allow for some extra room.
The springs seem to be a bit better than my previous ARK springs, and should since they were more expensive. The drop is not as nice, but that is why I bought the pedders - for extra room.
Man were these a pain to install. The fronts went on in about 1.5 hrs, but the rears were a PITA.
I ended up taking a pneumatic cutting tool and slightly grinding down the edge of the lower bump stops. I didn't have to take much off.
I wish i would have done that prior to trying to force them on for an hour. - wasted plenty of lube.
Instead of taking me about 2hrs or less, it took me over 3hrs to do this job.
Hopefully the last tip will save someone else the time.

damn why so tight? i did my megan springs in under an hour, with one other guy, i did the backs in 10 minutes, and had two separate spring compressors so the fronts did quick too, and we also did endlinks at same time.
I had no problem fitting my pedders on the rears. Yeah, it's a bit snug, but some white lithium grease and a little man muscle and they popped right on. Seriously took me longer to wiggle the stock springs out from under the car than it did to get my pedders mounted and back on.

Interviewatruins and I just put rear Pedders in his in about 20 minutes. We jacked up the car, put it on stangs so the rear would drop, disconnected the lower shock bolt and pushed down on the rotor to get the stock springs out. We just shaved a little off the platic cap with a razor blade to get them inserted in the Peddlers. We lubed the bumptstops with WD40, which got them in far enough to put in the car, then let the weight of the car smash them in the springs. EzeePeezee
