With the zfr do you use the stock boost solenoid or does the turbo have one on it already. Im asking cause im looking at one but no longer have the stock boost solenoid on my car because i have a 5557 on it

It comes with its own stock solenoid. Mine broke during install cause of the tight space so they took the one from my K04 and replaced it. Works the same. PS, I want a bigger EFR too. 7163 is what I'm looking at next.

If anything I think he already has one working with his current 5557 pte. He can probably do that but the EFR is so big I can't imagine it side by side with an exhaust mani that wasn't made for it. You can try though lol. You should ask donkeyballs and see what he says about space, he has a custom manifold for his EFR.

PS, Matt@ZZP stated that it would be a while before they would start another option for 7163 "ZFR" option. They said it would probably need more than just machining the exhaust turbine manifold side of the turbo.

If you want a faster spooling turbo, save yourself the headache of pulling together all the stock parts and just get a ball bearing 5558cea or a 5862 and go all billet.

My journal bearing 5558 spools 25psi by 3800rpm.
