Phones and USB Interface
I hear that the iphone syncs well with the 09 cobalts equipped with the bluetooth/usb option, but has anyone used any of the HTC smartphones with the cobalt. Im getting a Tmobile Mytouch 3g and was wondering how it would talk to the car connected thru USB ...
I posted this on the audio video section, but figured here is a better place to ask since the SS/TC is the only cobalt with the USB option "as far as i know"

?? It's not recognized as a flash drive. In fact it won't work when I plug it in the usb port to listen to the mp3 I have on my phone. But it works just fine when used a phone with the car bluetooth function.

you need to make sure the windows mobile phone is set to be recognized by USB on the phone.
Under the settings menu on the phone there should be a setting for USB type. Set it to storage instead of a modem.

Currently am using a ATT HTC Fuze - It connects automatically - but then mysteriously disconnect automatically after a few minutes - even when I am in the middle of a call. Very annoying. Also - its connection status is very inconsistant - sometimes it works and call request by the driver throught he steering wheel are routed through my phone - other times through onstar. I ussually resort to calling directly from my phone and hope the BT just catches on that there is a call in progress.
I previously had a Samsung Epix (also a WM phone) - and it works flawlessly - EXCEPT it would not auto connect to the car when I got inside.... I would have to shut off the BT in the phone and then turn it on again... very annoying
