Po299 code and running rich 2009 cobalt
I have been throwing codes on my Balt po299 for low boost cleared it and now boost generates psi again. But now I keep throwing rich codes I have a Hahn cai and injen upper charge pipe. Just took off the cai to go back to stock to see if that was the issue checked my turbo and it has some play in it (turbine moves in and out doesn't feel sturdy). I can also run my finger nail along the nipple and it feels a bit rough. Can't see any cracks from the top. Please help this is my daily.

The compressor floats on a film of oil when it spins, so there will be some play in it regardless. So unless the play is measured you can't really tell if it's OK or not. If the housing has marks on it from the compressor wheel hitting it then you know it needs to be rebuilt.
Which nipple feels rough?

If it moves in and out it's not good. You'll have some side to side play due to the film of oil, but back and forth along the axis of rotation (drivers side to passanger side movement) is not good
