Price difference in down pipes
Price difference in down pipes
I am interested in buying a new down pipe (cattless and stainless steel) and dont know why such a huge price difference,
DEJON: $229
HAHN: $329
Along with others, can anyone explain this to me, i mean a catless downpipe is a bent piece of pipe what would make one $100 more and the hahn and dejon look fairly similar.
bump?!
nothing guess its gettin early

If you have the ability to program out the o2 sensor and want to save cash go w/ Dejon...If you dont have that ability, I would think the dejon would require either o2 simulator or is going to through a code.
I went w/ Hahn because of quality. The shop that put the DP in was actually afraid when I said I had an aftermarket DP I wanted installed, and then where extremely impressed once they saw it...it fit like a glove (not like OJ's glove either)
The thing I'm concerned with is, the Dejon doesnt have an angled o2 bung, but the Hahn does. I'm alittle worried about this, but I also want a catless DP with cutout, and I dont wanna pay over $500 for the Hahn one when the Dejon is only $300. But again I dont wanna see a damn code thrown because it would just bother me.
any other info on the zzp downpipe? o2 bung............do you have to weld your own or is it a direct raplacement... any codes thrown?
bump?
never had zzp before hows the quality

We can weld in a bung for the secondary O2, but it won't function properly anyway without a cat. If you remove the codes from the PCM, you don't have to worry about the sensor. If people prefer the offset bung, we can offer that option.
Not sure that's possible.
The whole premise behind an OBD2 system, is 2 o2 sensors. One before the cat, telling the engine either too rich, or too lean, and one after the cat, giving the a-okay signal. If the signals are matching, then it will throw a code, because it's not supposed to be doing that; that means you have a bad or defective catalytic converter.
