Problem with shifted

I have an 08 cobalt ss. Today I was driving and couldn't shift to 2nd. 2nd 4th and reverse are totally gone. I will go in 1st. And sometiimes 3rd and 5th. Does this sound like a roll pin issue. If not any ideas??

Rollpins, linkages or shift cable. My 2.2 did the same thing with 2 and 4 and the diagnosis was he shift cable was frayed. Did it feel like the stick wouldn't go far enough to engage into second, or when you pulled down was there nothing there?

If nothing there chances are it's a rollpin or something with the linkage...if it wouldn't go far enough your cabling itself may be bound of frayed and you can check this by popping out your centre console.
