I have an 08 ss/tc. When I shift into 2nd it feels weird I kinda have to force it to go in it feels really weird. Would this be something messed up with my shifter or something with the transmission??

 

Pull the cup holder and check your cables. Also, if you're feeling it pull off the fuse box and check the linkage there. My 2nd gear is kinda finicky as well because the shifter cable bracket broke. I'm trying to locate a new one.

 

my cable snapped on me the 3rd day i had the car and i was left with 1st,3rd,and 5th gear... the good thing is, warranty !!!

 

Funny thing is that happened to me like 2 months ago but I have all my gears. 2nd is just being dumb. Drives fine when it's in gear but doesn't wanna go in smoth it doesn't feel like it engages until it's like pushed all the way down. It's weird

 

You bent some linkage, bro. Warranty work.

 

lol, i already took my car in for this once... and its doing it again... except my problem is that it wont go into fifth without holding up the reverse lockout... lol

 

My 2nd gear works fine, but it requires a bit more pressure to get it in than the others. Do you guys think there is something wrong or is that how everyone's is?
