problems need help!!

ok so ill start with all the mods. there all hahn. down pipe, exhaust, charge pipe, air intake. and the gm stage kit. so i started out with a **** load of codes. a p0036, p0038, p0138, p0141, p2270 p0106. got them all fixed except the dealership can never fix the p0106. they give me that crap sense the code is never on when i bring it in they cant do anything about it. only problem is its the most random thing ever. goes on for a few seconds sometimes mim. then goes off. and sometimes stayes off for days sometimes weeks. if anyone else has had that problem and fixed it tell me please. now when i left the dealership yesterday a new code popped up a p0101 the mass air flow sensor and already the air intake has already been freaking out idk how to explain it but its not. pretty much not working right doing iragelar blowing and sucking of the air i guess is the best way to say it. so once that code popped up the car started to jerk really bad kinda like when you have a shitty tune. but the car tryed its best to kill itself and just didnt want to work anymore. only had about half the power when hitting the throtel. just some bad **** happened. so i quickly cleared the code and and the problems like half went away just enough to drive home without the car violently jerking and ****. has anyone had this problem or know of a way to fix it. im bring the car back saturday to hae them check it out. wondering if anyone else has had this **** happen to there cobalt. oh ya and its an 09 cobalt ss

You have a boost leak. You need to pressurize the system and find the leak. Visual inspections do not usually work, unless you have a cracked IC endtank. Those you can see and feel.

Oh yeah, and you're p0106 is a MAP sensor code, so you need to pull the MAP sensor and see if it has oil on it, and also check the connections that were made when the old MAP plug was cut off and the stage-MAP was installed. If the joints aren't stagger-soldered, they need to be.

It's pretty easy to make a boost leak tester if you have access to compressed air.

It will affect the way the car runs if you are getting it all the time. You can pull the sensor and try to clean it. I believe the p0106 is for the manifold MAP and the p0107 is for the lower TMAP in the coldside pipe, but you'll have to search on here to be sure. Most of the issues with the GMS1 TMAP sensors are from improper installation at the connections. Some connections are butt-spliced or badly soldered, or soldered at the same spot, then taped together. Make sure your lower TMAP joints aren't getting wet by the A/C condensation. If you pull the sensors and they're oily, you can replace them for around $25 each or you can try and clean them. I keep an extra set around just for these kinds of issues.

If you have a cracked IC, depending on the size of the crack, you can remove the IC and jb weld the crack. That should get you by for a while.
