tune the replacement, thanx man, i just keep wonderin if a replacement is even worth it. i wanted to go trifecta and i hear they are rock solid reliable, no blow ups? besides i still haven't heard for %100 sure if a chevy dealer can detect swap, just speculations??!!

yeah, im not so sure about that either, but if your gonna tune one of them, you might as well tune the replacement and keep the stock one as OEM as possible if you do go ahead and try to switch it for maintainance.

Just to add - I might put my faith in chevy since i've already bought there car and tune my stock PCM and just throw out the waranty. I take good care of the car, and superchips does have a 2 year powertrain warranty. So the way I see it is, 3 year 36,000mile from GM or 2 year from superchips?

I drive my car everyday to work, I will blow through 36k miles in less than 3 years. maybe alittle more than 2 years. So a 2 year waranty for a 2 year waranty with a tune? nice.

Tune the replacement. Dont try to cheat the dealer, if you blow it, pay for it. But if you take it in for work, I would switch it out with the stocker, just so the dealer doesnt go nosing through too much. Highly doubtful they would, but 250 for a ECU is worth 5yrs of powertrain.

Yup, if youre trying to cheat the dealer you need to tune whichever ECM has the oldest factory tune on it.
