Question about slicks

Question about slicks

So I was wondering, ive read a lot on here but ive never gotten a straight answer, will slicks kill my transmission or axles?

You will slip you clutch, then axles will break..after that tranny case will crack

Don't listen to people that have never ran slicks before. If you can drive, and know how to drive, and understand the reason why you have to drive the car the way you do you wont break anything. I was on stock axles and transmission but stage four clutch at one point launching at 6000 rpms at 10 lbs of boost on the stock turbo. Which in all honest was prolly harder on the car then the big turbo. Never broke a single thing. Your set up also needs to be correct for what your looking to do, suspension, mounts, clutch.

If anything, slicks with a softer sidewall might save your transmission.

Is it just the launch that kills everything? Cause i only have one drag weekend a year and am fine with babying the launch
