Question on the learn down
Correct.
You'll see gains for maybe a little while but after that the computers torque based system will keep it in designated parameters. It is designed to push a consistant 260hp and 260tq.
You should always tune after mods are done to gain the most out of what you have, anyway. Certain mods can throw things outta wack and potentially cause harm to your engine over time. Intakes, for one, skew fuel trims. Sometimes bad enough to cause knock which will harm the motor.
These LNF's are picky about their MAF settings to run properly. A well tuned MAF makes all the difference.
If you're modding the car, I'd say to do a DP, Intake, charge pipes (for safety) and a tune. You'll be more than happy.
