Question Synapse IC

Does it hang as low as ZZP?
I know Synapse is 8" wide..same as ZZP.

Don't get into *cost stuff*...I have that handled with the Synapse.

There were a few occasions (Blueberry being one) where the Synapse unit would get hairline cracks along the welds of the end-tanks, so I always considered it to be about the same grade as the stock IC. Just get the ZZP and be aware. I installed mine the other day and I love it.

And there you have it, ronn. Avoid Synapse. Buy ZZP and stop worrying so much about scraping.

yeah..I read the posts on that. They say that Synapse put out a fix to reinforce the end tabs a while back. The unit I'm looking at is for sale here and had been returned to Synapse for that procedure plus an inspection.

Anyway...as to my question...anyone know if the Synapse sits as low as ZZP?

Ronn, that looks like the reinforced welds. My buddy FF_Ace has the synapse IC and it cracked as well and he had tabs welded on like the picture above by a local welder. Its held up to 26-27 psi for quite some time now even in the arizona heat. IIRC it does hang lower than stock as to how low in not sure. Ill see if i can find a picture of his car on my computer for you.

Ok...thanks. So that pic shows the reinforcements on. I was concerned about what the other poster said with regards to cracking WITH the reinforced tabs on! That wouldn't be good at all. I assume the reinforcements took care of the problem. That's what I need to know.

Ya man my synapse ic cracked twice on me had to get the whole thing re welded it holds up well now. I called and talked to morgan and told them about the cracks abd they said they were aware of them cracking that I would need to pay for shipping to their shop and back to my house I said eff that it would be cheaper to take it local. Mine hangs about 1/2 lower than the lip but I would go with zzp since I haven't heard of them cracking and they have been proven in high hp balts multiple times
